CREATE Speaker Series welcomes Dr. Janice Gobert, Nov. 16, 2022

Please join us on Wednesday, November 16th, as we host Dr. Janice Gobert from Rutgers University as the third of our 22/23 Science Speaker Series guests.

Janice will be talking about her research on assessment design and computational techniques that can be used in keeping with the Net Generation Science Standards.

PER seminar with Dr. Shuly Kapon, Technion University, Nov. 16, 2022

The MSU/Physics Education Research Lab is pleased to welcome Prof. Shulamit Kapon, Faculty of Education in Science and Technology, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, on November 16, 2022 . Shuly will be giving a talk from 3:00-4:00pm in 1400 BPS (BioPhysical Sciences building). 

Please join us! Dr. Kapon will be talking about illuminating and problematizing different facets of the challenges and tensions in achieving equitable and inclusive physics education.

The CREATE for STEM Institute at Michigan State University, with support from Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education (CEPSE), is excited to hold the NGSS Assessment Workshop for area teachers, teacher leaders, and district science coordinators,  Thursday, October 27th through October 29th, 2022.

You are invited to join us in the CREATE seminar space as we welcome Dr. Justin Carmel from Florida International University on September 28, 2022. Justin is returning to MSU (after several years away) to visit with STEM colleagues and give a presentation titled "Characterizing and Evaluating Engagement in Scientific Practices in the Chemistry Laboratory". His talk is scheduled for noon and there will be time for Q & A.
