CREATE Seminar series events for November - Save the dates!
The CREATE Seminar Series continues with our third and fourth events, both in November.
11/16/22 - Dr. Janice Gobert is a Professor of Educational Psychology in the Department of Educational Psychology at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. She has developed a technology for learning that makes use of data mining and eye tracking. Her cutting edge work focuses on the personalized learning of science and assessment to replace summative tests. In essence, the technology monitors students performing a complex task and records metrics on how well they perform science operations as opposed to reciting rote facts on multiple-choice tests.
11/30/22 - Dr. Allison Scott is the Chief Executive Officer at the Kapor Foundation, which holds at it's core the belief that when technology includes diverse perspectives and is harnessed to address societal challenges, future opportunities for collective transformation can happen for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and communities of color. Allison has been a Program Leader at the NIH's 'Enhancing the Diversity of the NIH-funded Workforce Program'.
We will plan to meet both in-person in the CREATE seminar space and on Zoom. Watch for more information soon.
