AERA Annual Meeting, April 21-26, 2022 in San Diego, CA

This year's conference theme is "Cultivating Equitable Education Systems for the 21st Century". The event will be held both in-person and virtually, with many sessions live-streamed.

STEM Teaching Essentials presentation, April 13, 2022, 12:30 - 2:00PM

Join STEM campus colleagues for Michele J. Grimm, Wielenga Creative Engineering Endowed Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at MSU's College of Engineering on Wednesday, April 13. This seminar will explore the principles of universal design and how it can be integrated into engineering practice, along with a discussion of how it can influence other fields that (knowingly or unknowingly) implement design practices on a regular basis.

National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine webinar, March 25, 2022

The Call to Action for Science Education issued by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine seeks to advance science education programs and instruction in K-12 and postsecondary institutions in ways that will prepare students to face the global challenges of the future, both as engaged participants in society and as future STEM professionals.

Conservation Stewards Workshop hosted by the MSU Museum, March 12, 2022

There is an amazing world of life in the ecosystems around us to observe every day! Get introduced to science-based ecosystem management principles and conserving ecosystems throughout Michigan communities in this program provided by MSU Extension with Georgia Peterson. This is an outdoor program, so participants should dress appropriately for an outdoor experience. For participants of all ages. Rain/snow date on 3/19/22.

2022 Annual Great Lakes Conference; Connecting Science and Management, March 8, 2022

Please join colleagues for the 32nd annual Great Lakes Conference: Connecting Science and Management. This conference will feature presentations on fish consumption and environmental justice, predator-prey ratios, and lake trout recovery; high water levels, freak waves, and flooding; environmental surveillance and assessing health; and connecting people to the Great Lakes. 

The conference is free to attend, but registration is required (Conference will take place online through Zoom).
