KBS offers 2022 K-12 Partnership Summer Institute, June 21-23, 2022

The MSU Kellogg Biological Station's Summer Institute is back in person for 2022 and the three keynotes will be live-streamed.  

Who?  K-12 teachers and informal educators
When?  June 21-23 2022, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
What?  Three days of hands-on, interactive, inquiry-based, and Next Generation Science Standards aspiring sessions. Themed around: Intentional sustainability: the science behind fuels, wildlife, and justice

Happening now! The 2022 NSF "STEM for ALL" showcase is live!

You are invited to take part in this free, interactive, 8-day event, showcasing federally funded projects aimed at improving STEM and computer science education. Videos share strategies to broaden participation and increase access and equity.

There are three video submissions from MSU colleagues - be sure to check them out!

Open nights at the MSU Observatory! May 6th and 7th, 2022

Join local astronomers this Friday and Saturday, 6th & 7th of May (9:30 PM - 11:30 PM) for public viewing at the MSU Observatory! You will have the chance to look through the telescopes and ask questions. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in observing the night sky.

These two events are weather permitting and free of charge.

DATE CHANGE! Rachel Henderson presentation, Weds, May 4, 2022. In person and virtual!

Join us on May 4, from noon - 1:30 PM to hear Rachel Henderson present her work focused on validating a methodology to examine self-efficacy in students transitioning from community colleges to MSU. CREATE for STEM provided the seed funding for this project; we are anxious to hear from Rachel and her team about their findings!

This event will be hybrid; please come to the open meeting space in CREATE if you would like to attend in person. 

2022 MSU Science Festival, April 1-30th, 2022 on campus and beyond!

SAVE the DATES! This year's theme for the MSU Science Festival is Envisioning the Future. As always, there will be live talks, virtual events, tours on campus, talks with experts, and more! Celebrating its tenth year, the MSU Science Festival is a FREE annual celebration of science, fueled by some of the basic elements essential to scientific inquiry: curiosity, wonder, and discovery.
