Seasons greetings from CREATE! We would like to pass along this wonderful and generous opportunity from our friends at the Michigan Math & Science Leadership Network (MMSLN). See the message below, and check out the registration page. Make sure to scroll down to read about the upcoming meetings!
Due to the COVID situation around the country, and MSU pivoting to remote operations for at least the next few weeks, we are changing our plans and will host Dr. Harshman virtually so that he can still give his planned presentation. We are sorry that we can't welcome him in person, but delighted that we can still hear about his work.
Join colleagues at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, January 18 for Dr. Janani Ravi's presentation as part of the Microbiology and Molecular Genetics seminar series.
Her research focuses on three key areas:
i) unraveling molecular mechanisms common between non-infectious and infectious diseases, to guide targeted drug repurposing,
ii) identifying genomic signatures, functions, and mechanisms relevant to host-pathogen interactions, to enable understanding and guide diagnosis, and
Join NSTA for this FREE upcoming webinar! "Uncovering Student Ideas With Formative Assessment Probes" is the next in the series of Book Beat Live seminars. Page Keeley, author of NSTA’s Uncovering Student Ideas in Science is the featured speaker this Wednesday - you will not want to miss this opportunity to hear her discuss how diagnostic probes into student thinking become "formative when data from students’ responses are used to make informed instructional decisions".
Michigan Math and Science Leadership Network is hosting a conversation for those who attended the Taking Stock of NGSS Summit on December 8, 2021, and those who didn't, but want to discuss what was learned.
