CREATE for STEM Institute's Cory Miller will be presenting a workshop, with colleagues Chiara Kirkland and Amber Richmond from Detroit Public Schools, at the National Science Teacher's Association meeting in Chicago, Illinois.  Their session will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 2:20 pm; it's titled "Supporting Early Elementary Students in Asking Questions with Driving Question Boards".

Joe Krajick and Christopher Harris from WestEd are giving a short course on Wednesday, July 20, from 8:30 - 11:30 AM with a focus on three-dimensional assessments in teaching and learning. Participants will learn: 1. what is meant by three-dimensional assessment; 2. how to design classroom-based assessment tasks aligned with the NGSS; and 3. how to make use of formative assessment tasks to support instruction.
