CREATE is delighted to have Dr. Ingrid Sanchez help us kick off the 2023-2024 Seminar Series on Tuesday, September 19, from noon-1:15pm. Dr. Sanchez was originally scheduled to visit last spring; we couldn't be more excited to have her as our first speaker this fall!

Dr. Ingrid Sanchez will be discussing her work at UNICEF and on her global-level efforts to strengthen programming on gender equality in education across UNICEF'S education programs, including STEM for girls, gender-responsive life skills, and digital skills. Ingrid has been a professor of STEM education in various countries: the United States, Colombia, Panama, and Chile. Her research focused on designing learning environments that support adolescents to develop STEM-related knowledge and skills, with an emphasis on marginalized groups because of ethnicity, language, and gender.
