Dr. Jordan Harshman, Auburn University, Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022

-

PLEASE SAVE THE DATE AND PLAN TO JOIN US! CREATE for STEM is delighted to host Dr. Jordan Harshman from Auburn University on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. At this time, we are planning to gather in the seminar space in CREATE. Our and our colleague's health is a priority; we will continue to monitor COVID information and follow university protocols.

Dr. Harshman's talk, "Characterizing Uncertainty in Models of Instructional Profiles and Chord Diagrams as a tool for Educational Insights" will highlight his work on two separate projects. One focuses on the decisions that can greatly affect results in educational research and how researchers can reasonably estimate uncertainty in model-based applications, while the second examines how large groups of students are thinking about disciplinary topics and how instructors can quickly and accurately assess that thinking using Classroom Observation Protocol for Undergrad Students (COPUS).

More information will be forthcoming. We hope to have a great turnout for Dr. Harshman's talk!
